During 2022 FGL’s WAX game Mecha World went through a staged rollout of the game features.

The bare basic Questing feature was released early June, with a Part Fitting preview and Workshop building that followed by the end of the same month. Early August the real deal was released. And right now, after a few months of optimising the interface and user flow, the Part Fitting process just got a big overhaul. This blog will cover a short “how-to”.

Click “Mechas” on the top menu view the Mechas you own. On every Mecha card you see a little ⚙️ Gear-icon. Click it to see a detailed view of all the parts your Mecha has fitted, the condition of those parts, a button to make Repairs and, last but not least, a button that says “Fit Part”. Click this to continue to the Fitting process.

On the next page you see a range of NFT slots, with your selected mecha on top. The row below it shows your External parts (the types of parts that will become visible on your Mecha NFT) and below that the range of Internal parts.

If you have no parts fitted yet, all these slots will show empty. Click on “Click to Replace” to select a part from your inventory. Make sure your Mecha’s level is high enough to fit the part! (Check the Whitepaper for more details).

If you do already have a part of that type fitted it will show in the left slot. To replace it you follow the same process. Just note that the old part will be gone forever!

Once you selected all the parts you want to fit, click “Start” in the top right corner. A pop-up will come up showing you the total costs in FGL Tokens for fitting. Fitting only costs a small fee, calculated by Part Rarity Level x 10. For example, an Uncommon Tail has Part Rarity level 2. So it would cost 2 x 10 = 20 FGL Tokens to fit.

Next step: Wait until the rendering is done, and your Mecha is ready! You can check the status of your rendering in the “Workshop” tab from the top menu. This process is usually quick, but it could take up to a few hours.

And presto! The Part NFT’s are burned and your Mecha NFT is updated with the new attributes. If you fitted external parts, these will now show on the Mecha image.
