FGL Goes Multi-Chain!
About a year and a half now FGL entered the Crypto space with this main idea: Build a network of games from multiple development teams unified by a single token on the WAX blockchain.
Could this work? Would it help solve the problem of games only lasting a few months until their token dies? Could we increase the longevity of WAX games using this paradigm?
Well, after a year and a half and 3 games we can confidently say that YES, indeed this idea works very well! All three games are holding their value still and the token is maintaining (and even increasing) its value.
Next Steps
Now that we have proven our business model, where do we go from here? The answer to that lies in going multi-chain. The gaming community in crypto is still fairly small, so the best path to success is to patch together gaming communities from multiple blockchains into a single community.
Our first step along this path is with our exciting game Outlaw Troopers! In the coming months we will be adding functionality to the game to prepare for this move and jumping right in.
Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
Our very first multi-chain experience will be on BSC. BSC is a well established blockchain that is easy to develop on, has a large + supportive community as well as a large user base. This makes it a solid candidate to work out all the kinks with going multi-chain, as well as leaving the door cracked for funding from up and coming stars like Polygon + ImmutableX.
In Outlaw Troopers we plan on merging BSC players alongside our WAX players so they can all enjoy one seamless experience. We want to allow NFTs to be moved between chains as well as the FGL token. More players means more competition, a more vibrant marketplace as well more opportunities to succeed at all levels of play.
Cardano (ADA)
On top of that we have also found a partner on the Cardano blockchain that will be launching a “sand-boxxed” version of Outlaw Troopers to their players. These players will have their own NFTs, leaderboard, marketplaces, etc. This will help the game bring in more revenue + increase player levels to draw more attention.
